i saw this at a card store in South Park and sent some to my pregnant friends AND to my sister in law...

in other baby news, i picked up this CUTE onesie for my dear friend Hana who is expecting her first baby boy in May! The tie is VINTAGE and removable! I LOVE IT!!!

I love Chris for many reasons..and today I shall share with you one of the reasons...

Chris is such a wise soul...and his advice is always so thoughtful and timely. He'll never agree for the sake of agreeing and he will always voice his opinion, even if it's something you don't want to hear.

I've been having a very hard time with a certain issue and I'm thankful I am married to someone who is so honest and candid with me. He is insightful, objective, and truly intelligent. I really really love him.

okay, i admit it.

i've been prolonging this post for a while, because i feel guilty. but i shall let you in on this little secret.

i got the shoes. yes, the christian louboutins. they are simple, beautiful, and sexay. i wasn't planning on getting them, BUT remember I put my name on the waiting list back in January? Well, Jordan at the boutique in South Coast Plaza, called me last month to let me know that they received ONE nude Very Prive in MY SIZE.

kill me.

so i called up my bffs and consulted. shong of course said to get them. ina of course said to get them. they offered to pitch in...and so alas,

thanks to my awesome wonderful beautiful totally-rad bridesmaids, i am the owner of a pair of christian louboutin very prive nude shoe.

i am in love. here they are. (can't show you in my dress of course, so this will have to do.)

the only thing is, does this change the entire mood of the evening? meaning, can the wedding still be organic and vintage if i am wearing these sexy shoes with my short dress? will i potentially look like a skank?

although anything goes in gracie's book.. i am not sure about this one. I am considering maybe getting another pair of whatever bridal shoes to wear with the dress. It may look better.... but I'm still keeping the shoes.

chris and i moved into our new place in North Park!

last week was SO crazy: chris's homecoming, our move, my bff shong visiting, the presentation of my graduate portfolio, AND chris's homecoming party....whoah.

the good thing is that we moved & unpacked all in one day. AMAZING! I'll definitely show pictures of our place once I put up the mass of photographs on the walls.

one thing I did find in random places were more notes from the boy! i found this one on the back of one of the frames that held a picture from our elopement.

(you like how you can see chris in the background? he's putting away dishes. good husband!)

honestly, i think engagement shoots are a bit....cheesy (sorry). BUT, who can pass up an opportunity to get photographed all day long? not me (narcissistic, i know).

the question is: where should we take our pictures?

I used to think balloons were cheesy, but this Dior ad totally makes them look chic and so fun! I've seen balloons used in engagement photos... I wonder if Chris will let me use some.

today is moving day!

as chris and i begin to make a move, i realized that we have tons and tons of books. he likes to collect books on war, military, politics, and economics.

i have a ton of books from my kindergarten teaching days and from my leisure readings and graduate school classes.

i want vintage suitcases to use as a night stand next to my bed. in fact, when gBang and I went to the flea markets in Irvine & Pasadena last month, I began my collection. Here I am with my first vintage suitcase purchase:

i shall show you the finished product, as well as my other vintage finds, once we settle into our new place. flea markets are AWESOME!!!!!

day 190: april fools

one april fools long ago, i played the oldest trick in the book and chris fell for it.

i called him up at his office and told him i was pregnant.

he panicked and hung up the phone, telling me he'll call me back in a bit.

he called back about 30 minutes later saying, "okay. we can do this."

then i said, "honey, april fools."

and he nearly killed me. he seriously thought i was telling the truth and in between his calls, he went downstairs and took a brisk walk around the building to clear his head.

wowzas. i thought it was hilarious. he did not.
